Privacy Policy for Pulse

Pulse (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a workout tracking application for Android developed by an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains what information Pulse collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

Information We Collect

When you sign in with Google, Pulse collects:

• Email address and name — from your Google account, used to create and identify your Pulse account.
• Workout data — exercises, sets, reps, weights, session duration, and notes you log while using the app.
• Body measurement data — optional metrics you choose to log (such as weight, body fat percentage, and body measurements) and the dates you recorded them.

Pulse does not collect location data, contacts, photos, or any information beyond what is listed above. Pulse does not display advertising and does not use advertising or tracking SDKs.

How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely to provide the app’s core functionality:

• Displaying your workout history, progress charts, and personal records.
• Syncing your data across devices when you are signed in.
• Allowing you to recover your data if you reinstall the app or switch devices.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Where Your Data Is Stored

• Your data is stored locally on your device at all times, so the app works fully offline.
• When you are signed in, your data is also stored securely in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database, located in the Mumbai (ap-south-1) region.
• Access to your data in the cloud is restricted using row-level security, meaning only you can read or modify your own records.

Account Sign-In

Pulse uses Google Sign-In exclusively for authentication. We do not receive or store your Google account password. Authentication is handled entirely by Google’s sign-in system.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you would like your account and all associated data permanently deleted, please contact us at the email address below, and we will process the deletion within 7 days.

Children’s Privacy

Pulse is not directed at children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
